Peter Roskam will do anything or say anything to win. He's now put out three false mailers and a website trying to suck in Obama voters. He's also possibly illegally having local mayors send out endorsement letters on official-looking letterhead.
This is the first mailer received on Wed. the 28th:
Peter Roskam is a right-wing Republican. Anti-abortion (in all cases), anti-immigrant, anti-gay, anti-tax, anti-conservation, etc. He has a clear record of supporting Big Oil and not alternative energy. And I don't know of any Democrats that support Peter Roskam.
Yesterday (Oct. 29th) two more mailers showed up at my door:
Peter Roskam has opposed every effort to expand healthcare for the uninsured. He's against SCHIP. He voted to uphold Bush's veto. He's on McCain's side and the insurance companys' side. And yet he's also a personal injury lawyer.
You might remember that the "I just don't feel comfortable..." line was one used against him in 2006 by Tammy Duckworth and the DCCC. He has no ethic nor integrity. And he's against increasing education funding.
Most troubling is a letter sent out by the mayor of Wheaton (and other local mayors). It's in an envelope that lacks any Roskam campaign markings:
The letter itself is also designed to look like City letterhead, with the small disclaimer at the bottom:
I've spoken with the Jill Morgenthaler campaign and it seems like these mailers went out to recently-registered voters (I changed my address about a year ago. My parents, who've been at the same address over 20 years, did not receive any). This is in line with Roskam's violations of franking rules.
Peter Roskam has got to go. Jill Morgenthaler will help enact Barack Obama's agenda. Let's help her get elected to Congress!
